i've used base camp for the last three book launches, and i'm going to be doing so again shortly. It hasn't i think it's never been easier from the standpoint of having a low barrierd entry. And i find that encouraging because, a, if you're not competing, you're not getting better. You should have some type of competition in your life, some type of pressure to improve. The one that got me started was punished by rewards, which is actually a book all about motivation and how rewards basically don't work or encourage creative work. There's also a great book called the myth of the spoilt child, which is even more specific about nurturing and support kids
