Theology of Grace - What It Means to Be a Member of the Body

In Paul, everywhere you have this sense of just sheer grace that the chief of sinners would be set apart for this to be this channel of God's giving. And yet that giving as Paul expresses it is at the same time a return to God. So there are all these different aspects to it that in our typical understanding of a sort of horizontal gift between two people can't be operative because those things are very carefully circumscribed and put in their own tidy boxes. But when we're dealing with God and God's relationship with his people, it is very different. That creator-creature distinction is really integral to understanding theology of grace as Paul express it.
