'Declaration' by Tracy K Smith
Amanda gorman reads declaration by tracy k smith. Gorman: I think it does a lot of what you say, but it also has this wonderful repetition in its petition. And i love the way you can't necessarily y hear it, but she adds a lot of em dashes into this text, which feels very emily dickinson like. But i think, at least when i read it, it adds the sense of breathlessness, of being cut off, of something, left unsaid.
