The word wise in Hebrew is hakam and you might not hear this similarity but there's another Hebrew word represented, I believe it's in the Septuagint which says that it's violent. Hakam and hamas look very much alike in the letters that they have. We actually have a translation that translates it as if hamas is in the text. That would make more sense, he who takes life, a violent person takes life. But again, that idiom always means to kill somebody.
