How Did You Decide to Write a Puget Sound?
i noticed in the first footnote of chapter three, where titled a peopling puget sound, you you decided to go on om accounts basedf of archaeological materials. And i was just curious, and i think probably your science background had somewhat to do with this, but how did you come to that decision? I see the world through a scientific lens, and certainly do not disqualify in any way the the belief system of native people of this area since basely living here since time immemorial. But writing the book in the style i wanted, i felt i needed to rely on the archaeological evidence to give that book the grounding that i was trying to develop.
