Labour's Process for Writing a Manifesto

Labour is less a sort of political party as a collection of dysfunctional families, all of whom have individual say's in different bits of the party's processes. The goal of the manifesto process is to not just have it written in a darkened room bysort of three people - although that does end up happening to a certain extent. But Labour has a long policy process into which different groups can feed in trade unions, constituency representatives and affiliated groups to the Labour Party. And there's lots of consultation with all the different groups.
