We Should Have Closed the Bowwater Stores

Excluding bowwater, Home Depot's fourth quarter earnings would have been up approximately 35%. Not only did they buy it for talent locations, talent didn't exist. And now the locations are crap. We eventually closed all the stores we acquired and built bigger, better Home Depot stores close by. If we had just passed on bowwater altogether, it probably would have gone out of business anyway. Bowwater was a great and hard lesson learned.
