When i was about 17 and had a summer job, i went and somebody had a young woman, a young girl, had been killed. My editor said, what happened when you interviewed the parents? A so i didn't go bother the parents. And he said, go knock on the door and interview the parents. So i took a deep breath and i did it. And i learned my first lesson, which is people like to talk, and they liked to talk about themselves. They got to feel to fill the silence, and they talk. If sometimes they don't answer my question, i just stay there and listen, and i'm silent. It's better than trying to explain things
