I was watching the WWE documentary and John Cena was supposed to get kicked out of the company before he was a star, right? Yeah, I heard about that. But then he saw Rey Mysterio and Ricki Shih or whatever his name is, freestyling in the back and he joined in. And then at the bus, the CEO was like, oh, do you want to do this on live television? He's like, hell yeah. So it took that him to fail to realize his real character. In wrestling, for people to love you, you need to connect with them and have a character.
