The Union Bump on the EV Tax Credit

There were some major progressive goals that were brought into the initial debates about how to structure an industrial policy for the auto industry. The union bump, which a lot of people advocated for, was slashed. There's very little in the law on the manufacturing tax credit side where IRS money is going to automakers for clean manufacturing with labor standards attached. And I think you can point to some places where they've been very successful and other places where they're unsuccessful.
