Zoe Keating made 38,000 on iTunes. She also made 25,000 on Bandcamp. By going with a more artist friendly service, she is actually almost making as much there as she is on iTunes. I don't think streaming is bad. It's something where you make money when you're on mass. And yes, people could pirate stuff blah, blah, blah,. But there are many who want to support you and will feel they are supporting you because they pay for Spotify. So in reality, they're giving you like three cents.
