The Importance of Common Language in the Human Condition
I'm not even sure that's true I mean the archaeobat the archaea were discovered what 30 years ago or something. One thing that I find surprising about many of those stories is how easy communication was to establish one might have thought in a place where there's no common language. We've had a dismal record of establishing communications with other species living on our own planet so that doesn't give on a huge amount of hope for alien intelligence.
