You Don't Wanna Make Money From Your Paintings, Right?
I think that's a really powerful compass for all self-expression. To me, this leads us a little bit back to the conversation about monetization and whatnot. As a painter, you gotta make work that people are interested in buying, right? You don't have to. If you're trying to make a living doing it, then I think maybe you wanna. But then it gets tricky if it is this thing that you are trying to live off of.
