The Importance of Labor Statistics

A lot of times, it seems like people point to strength in the labor market that unemployment's still really low. The lowest unemployment rate in the US on record occurred the month before a recession started. So if anybody like Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says we can't have a recession because the unemployment rate is low, she needs to go back and look at economic history.
