The Complexity of Language

Teachers assume that when children read a word, they therefore comprehend it. But language is dynamic and we tend not to teach language in this way. We tend to teach read the word comprehend it. And then you find then that over a period of time, then, then it becomes clear to them. So they don't have to do this their entire life cross out that it right it but it's a process.
