The Differences Between Probiotics and Bacteria

Prebiotics are a fancy term for fiber and fiber we think of in the context of cellulose, which is a type of fiber. Fiber is typically carbohydrates that we humans cells and the enzymes in our gut cannot digest. So what ends up happening is they make their way down to our gastrointestinal track where microorganisms live. They're helping to feed our microbiome, maintain that diverse population, which is always dynamic and it's always changing because it's responding to the things we're eating.
