Narcissism is the personality structure of our age. The narcissus can never rest, and his restlessness is due to many things. His entire self image is derived from the attention of others. He yearn for their approval, which actually places them above him. And this causes me to resent them and hate myself. If you're thinking that that sounds like an awful way to go through life, just look around you. It's very easy to lose your own identity or subordinate it to the super personality. Jim jones used to tell his people that it was no pleasure for him to be god, but was in fact, a great burden. While he sure is down to earth
