The Promise of Something Transcendent

I think that there's a really odd feature of falling in love for most people, which is that you suddenly prioritize something above like everything else. And I guess the way that I experience that sudden placing of all this weight on things that are, in some way not that important, is that you must see something on the horizon. Like this is really gonna pay off in some big way. There's something huge at stake here, I guess. And that's what I mean by it's being transcendent. And that it's incredibly motivating. It's like the opposite of being depressed or something. This was something I found very alien. Yeah, I don't necessarily see love as transcendent
