The Book of Mormons - A New Bible
The announcement of a new gold bible began leaking into local newspapers in the weeks leading up to its appearance. Once it was out and circulating, any number of critics pounced on it. Most of the criticism came from orthodox christians who felt it was trying to rival the bible. Alexander campbell scoffed that the book of mormons transparently tried to resolve all the great christian doctrinal disputes.
