A successful product process is one where you're not surprised late in the game that people are working on stuff that we weren't really sure they should be working on. There's something about being in the room and having the fidelity of body language and facial expression that, at least in my past roles, this concept of alignment hasn't come up nearly as fiercely as it has levels. And so i think t thereis something about i was scared to put in the memo of the thing around phase gating, but it was in response to us sort of having very blurry boundaries in between us understanding the problem and us moving to design.
