Gadhafi created a paranoid society where neighbors can snitch on each other. The universities come in for special treatment as they are hotbeds of radicalism and opposition. Tamed gadafy, the self styled great thinker, will spend a lot of time at libya's campuss dropping in, unannounced, giving rambling and hok lectures.
