The Origin of the Name Ostra Lepithacus

Anthropologist raymond dart discovered a fossilized skull of an infant ape. He named the skull tong child, after the village where it was discovered and the fact that the skull belonged to an infant. Dart's next job was to clean the skull of sedimentary material so that he could fully examine it. The discovery ultimately revolutionized paleoanthropology.
