The Phonograph, Is It Even a Recording?

During this 20 year period of time between the phono autograph and the phonograph, there are recordings that people made that couldn't be played back. So what it does is it etches the recordings into a groove in a tube made of tin foil or wax at the time. And then afterwards you put that stylus, the needle, back into the groove and move it along and it can play the sound back. Basically the grooves caused the same vibrations as those that created it. "It's really like beautiful honestly how simple this concept is"
