Ar-Hazi's Skeptical Leanings
Critics complained that Ar-Hazi was far better at explaining the arguments in support of heretical views than he was at refuting them. The sheer abundance of proofs and counter-proofs tends to induce uncertainty, or at least bewilderment. He seems to think that each and every concept we have must be proven to have some external reality to which it applies. This amounts to a major concession to the skeptic.
