Heat Shock Proteins and Muscle Injuries

After an injury, if you're not putting any sort of work load on the muscle for a period of time. There are a variety of mechanisms that regulate this and one of them happens to be heat shock proteins. A 30 minute exposure to this heat was able to stave off muscle atrophy during disuse. The expression of these heat shock proteins maintain for several days after the initial exposure to heat.
