De Gaulle's Self-Consciousness

During the Berlin crisis of 5861, he was very hawkish. He wanted a NATO where Britain and France played a much larger role. De Gaulle had wonderful relations with Conrad ad-nour, the Chancellor of Germany from 4960. They met over 40 times and they signed a treaty of friendship.
