Darwin's Role in the Anti-Vivisection Movement
Darwin was not particularly political. He really didn't even defend his own work. But he made an exception to his kind of a political principles for the anti vivisection movement. In 1875, Darwin himself helped to draft the play fair bill which required that all animals use an experimentation needed to be anesthetized.
