The Status Quo of Inherited Colonial Systems Is Steaming Our Ability to Progress in the 21st Century
Is our nation's continued reluctance to change the status quo of inherited colonial systems, steaming our ability to progress in the 21st century? The answer is yes. Unfortunately with a written constitution, the entrenched rights, etc., it frustrates you when you don't have that special majority to make some of the changes I've listened to in this room. There's absolutely no policy on behalf of the government to maintain colonial relics in terms of institutions and the way we operate in Trinidad and Tobit.
