The Importance of Knowing Yourself
Slicing is a skill onto itself and one I must confess I don't really possess. The hardest thing to do, you mentioned, which is baklava or any very thin pastry that's translucent almost. And people who can just take a big rolling pin and do that by hand, without any device to help them. You have to know thyself in order to do a task like that well. It's not knowing your audience is the way we always talk.You have to know your audience to please them.
