If you've never done any wrist extension work or any wrist flexion work, then you are definitely going to struggle to suddenly take this huge stimulus of gripping and pulling all the time. Some people actually just really weak through these muscles that are hurting. Rock climbers spend a lot of time hanging, doing timed hangs to strengthen their connective tissues. That's what they're really good at because they are putting their lives in their own hands when they do this. Jigitsu should be pretty proud of having big, meaty forearms. You deserve them too.
