The Importance of Oral History to the Manchester Jewish Museum

The Manchester Jewish Museum was established in the 1970s by Bill Williams, a non-Jewish historian who gathered oral histories and objects. The museum is housed in an old Sephardic synagogue but has been transformed into a contemporary museum that still preserves the synagogue as well. Most of my research until very recently has been based around the Jewish East End which I've researched extensively.
