i've been looking at what i've already done and going, well, what in that, in those paintings? It's interesting, is it? Because i don't think you can. go out thinking, what are my marks? I'm going to try and discover what they are,. then i end up doing a whole load of stuff that doesn't feel like me at all. And so i have to let things be ugly or rough or ready or raw, and then just see what comes out of that. E am inspired by when i did intuitive painting class with sally anne ashley. She keeps a sketch book of marks. When she finds a mark show up in her paintings
