The Importance of Soft Parenting
The more parents try to force their kids into a specific mold, the less successful they are. The best parenting I have seen is very soft. Intising, not forceful. If you can help someone understand something instead of giving them a rule, it serves them much better in life. You just have to tell your two-year-old why he can't wander out into the street.
