In the old days going back 2034 years, people simply played the openings that they loved or taught with the thing right over the board. And if there were openings that were had some slight inaccuracies or what I call suboptimal play, they'd still play it because it was fun. That's been drummed out of every correspondence player at this point. People who played, there was one game which involved one game that involved suboptimal opening and the entire world final. Somebody played the bononi with black. Shout out to the bononi, all right. They got destroyed.
