When I was 12, my mom left our home. She was disabled so she wasn't able to work. Substance use increased and it kind of became an unsafe, uncomfortable situation for me. So when I was 15, I ended up moving out and that was a really challenging time. When I was 19, my dad, who I have a ton of respect for, I love, he had a lot of struggles. And my mom at the time ended up selling the house I grew up in for cash. It was like one of the things that I just held on too tightly. That's what this interview is all about.
