What Is the Primary Mechanism of Muscle Hypertrophy?

A paper was recently published with a very provocative title. Effective resistance training mainly depends on mechanical activation of fast twitch fibers. I'm concerned that it will kind of reach a critical mass and like a lot of folks will become aware of it and uncritically accept its findings as true. And so the short version is no, I don't think we should put much stock, if any, in this particular paper.
