Book Review - Is This a Good Book?
Wen's daughter Patricia taxon was a consultant on the book. She gave her insight into how she grew up and what it was like to live through this shared experience of being a child. A central struggle in the novel is about whether to teach a child to fit in with everyone else, or to just be herself. Wen says that parents have less control over their children's future than they think.
