The Importance of Deep Self-Work in Collective Power Building
I believe that there is a need for deep self-work in collective power building towards anti-racism, which sits within a structural analysis and a broader movement. In my experience of being in movements that have worked at the interpersonal level, they don't work by people turning inwards. They work through understanding a kind of loyalty to each other is the starting point. When we start from that assumption, then we end up in situations where sometimes we bump up against each other in ways that bring out the ways we've been socialized right? And that could be all kinds of things.
