What I've Learned About Subtraction Blindness
i think we all are taught this in school, but it's allso hard to do it in practiceand that was actually one of the studies that we did. We asked people to write a summ paragraph of a newspaper article, and then we asked them to improve their own writing. People still didn't subtract. They still added word to make the summary better. When it was somebody else's they gotot a little better. But still, and them badly. A little bit of this learned behavior.
