People are often wary of people who they consider to be over-ambitious. Conscientious is a really nice characteristic to have, I would like it somebody would consider me to be conscientious. Obstant can in some ways be a little bit positive but mostly it's seen as a negative adjective to describe you. obstinate just means you refuse to change your mind and stick to your own opinion.
