The Mystery of the Marriage Covenant
Marriage is by its nature ordered toward two things, the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring. So you can get married out of love. That's wonderful. And that's great. As we are going to highlight in the very next paragraph, the mystery of the marriage covenant is that it's an image of the Trinity. The stable relationship between husband and wife provides the context for the education of offspring so they can be raised in a stable environment.
