Introduction

Tracy Mears is the Walton Hale Hamilton Professor and a founding director of the Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School. She was an engineer undergrad but decided to become a lawyer when it became clear that going to medical school after getting the engineering degree still wasn't going to be the best path. "I think it was probably me trying to seek a path to doing good in the world honestly," she says.
