The Future of Agar Forestry
In France, they found that for every hundred acres of annual crops that are intercropped with timber trees, they're producing as much food and timber. In China also these pollenia systems, many of them actually produce more grain than systems without trees in them. These multi stratif food forest type systems are really, we're just seeing some early adopters doing that here in the US or in temperate climates anywhere. It's a fairly rare system on a commercial scale, of course, very widely practiced in the tropics,.
