The Libet Experiments and the Libeth Effects

Libet experiments show that you can see some preparatory brain activity the so-called neural readiness potential a little bit before the subject's self-reported time of the conscious decision to perform the action. Libet and others then interpreted this as showing that really the cause of the action is not so much the conscious decision but this prior neuronal readiness potential. So once again the conclusion is that the causes of the resulting actions are underlying physical brain states now what can we say in response to those arguments?
