The Effects of Tidal Barriers on Earth's Orbits

The amount of energy we could take out the tides is minuscule. It's not about the energy you lose, but there can be influences on those little things close to the shoreline that need that energy. The earth is slowing down a little bit anyway because of tidal forces,. But those are big tidal forces. And humans just use such a tiny, tiny amount of energy even in our very energy-expensive society.
