The Power of Science Fiction to Overcome Resource Limits
I'm personally less worried about the resource limits just because most of human history has been a story of overcoming those limits and finding solutions. It's just that the motivating story within these environmental and green capitalist movements is that these resources will are there and will be found, whereas the current material situation on the ground does not bear these hopes out. If it's not shared equitably, amongst people, you're still going to have the same problems in society forever. And I mean, that's the only way things are going to get better.
