The Greatness of the Men Is Undermined by the Importance of Fortune

Aeneas is saved by divine intervention from going on the path of antony. Cleopatra actually says that she despises octavius because he's but fortune's knave, a minister of her will. So in other words, fortune is really the king or the god or goddess, the one in charge. And caesar happens to be on top right now. But because of fortune, that doesn't make him very special. Just makes him a kind of slave, a slave to fortune.
