There are four sections in the novel, and they're all sort of peeling back a new layer of this mystery. One of the things that interested me was how, i think for many people of over a certain age, this does happen to us in our in our own lives, om time uotenly. We hear one version of a story, and then later we hear a slightly different version, or some new fact shows up tat changes things. And i really wanted to to capture that effect, and the structure of the house on fortune street seemed a way to do that.
