The Current Regulation Landscape for Big Techs
There is no specific regulatory treatment of big techs operating in finance. Big techs are treated like any other company and that the regulatory treatment depends on the type of financial activities they're engaging in. Many big techs provide financial services through partnerships or through joint ventures with financial institutions. All big techs have entities in the group that are licensed as payment service providers in at least one jurisdiction. And then none except in China, a license to grant credit without taking deposits, but here they lend incorporation and partnership with financial institution.
