It charges with a usb c cable. It doesn't have anue chip. The case is a millimeter bigger, the bezzles are one point seven millimeters smaller. I'm actually surprised a little bit that the ipadmini had USB c and not lightning. If they had done lightning on that new shape, i wouldha, would have died. They're making all these schools by light cables to power their educational pts.
